Lars Forshell 1931-1999

This message came to us when this millenium was about to leave this world. Lasse is no more. The inovator, the generator and the founder of Camerata Vocale is dead and gone. We knew that it was about to happen, but were we really prepared? Are we ever prepared?? What can we say? The old wreck has left us, and now it's all up to us!

In my world, Lasse has always been somwhere far away, but likewise always returning to us when the music began. Sometimes together with his thundering voice and his tanned body, but most of the time, just noticable by the precence of his spirit. This spirit will come as long as we have the most tiny little wish for it to be there. OK, Lasse, now you are there, you have crossed over into campground, and I sometime wonder if it after all ain't wrong: It IS a little gray bird singing there. You.

Lars Forshell, we love you and we love what you created. In some time we will also find out how much we miss you, so much that we can't forget all the laughter, sweat, anger, happiness, love, hatred and MUSIC you brought to people. We will bring it on to other folks, don't you worry 'bout a thing!!
