Modern Kristdala

Farming and logging industry plays today only a minor role in supporting the people of Kristdala. There are some industries in Kristdala. Many people also commute to Oskarshamn or Hultsfred where there are more opportunities for jobs. Another jobsite is Simpevarp, one of Sweden's four nuclear power plants located about 20 miles east of Kristdala.

Social life in Kristdala is varied. Those who appreciate the outdoor hobbies have an excellent opportunity for fishing, hunting or just enjoying having nature so close.

There are a number of churches, societies and clubs to join. IF Ariel is our local soccer team.

We have most of the service needed in a small town. Half a dozen of shops, two banks, school, restaurant, library, dentist, florists, gas stations and fire brigade to mention a few.

Special points of interest are Kristdala Church and the Museum for Local History(Hembygdsgården).
