Back to Swedish! In English please!

My name is Staffan Berglind. The English version of this page is still under construction. So please, be patient! It will soon be ready. On this page you will find information about things which happened on the Baltic Sea during the first and the second world wars. Most of the subjects are about ships accidents. I have made some researching about this, and here you can find information about the cases I have been working with. One of the subjects is about the escape from the Baltic states during the years 1944 - 1945, when more than 30.000 refugees arrived from the Baltic states to Sweden. Most of them arrived to the Swedish island named Gotland. Some of the other cases are about the terrible catastrophe at the German town Neustadt on May 3 1945 when more than 7.000 people from the concentration camp of Neuengamme were killed by mistake of the British airforce RAF. There is also some information about the sinking of Wilhelm Gustloff, Goya, Hansa and some other ships which were sunk by USSR submarines.
