Reviews

Mini-review by Fredrik Petersson

This is a collection of four short stories. They all take place on the twin planets of Werel and Yeowe, where slavery has become the normal and accepted way of life. These stories all fit in nicely in the Hainish cycle, and just as most of these stories they are not very "sci-fi". They remind me more of Toni Morrison (Jazz, Tar Baby...) or Alex Hailey's Roots than of other SF books.

Note: Several people have pointed out the fact that the planet Werel in Four ways to Forgiveness apparently is another Werel than the world with that name in Planet of Exile.
