The Nightwind Shelties

There's always been dogs in my family, and the breeds during my own puppy-hood were an untrustworthy Finnish Lapphund and an absolutely marvellous Irish Setter. In 1983, I bought myself my very first Sheltie, Titus, who you most probably met already, at the back-door... He showed me what a most wonderful breed Shelties are and made me keen enough to start my small kennel in 1988, which is situated at the outskirts of Stockholm in Sweden.

Pictured at the front door of my website - in the snow - are the litter sisters Nightwind Minnie the Minx and Nightwind Midway Moll. Two daughters by my foundation bitch S Ch. Anthos Isla at Stornway. An English import.

I moved to Texas in 1997 and just took up showing again. I hope to breed some really nice shelties here in a few years and just got myself my american foundation bitch Kimark Magic at Nightwind. I hope to show her starting this very fall.

My love for Shelties makes me eager to be part of the breed, though I am no bigtime breeder. I am the webmaster for the SSSK webpages (The Swedish Shetland Sheepdog Club) and have been the editor of the third SSSK Club Handbook, as well as co-editor for the second one. There's more information on the books if you follow the link to The SSSK website.

Below are pictures and pedigrees of some of the dogs I have bred or owned over the 17 years I've been a Sheltie freak.
