Lara Croft, daughter of Lord Henshingly Croft, was raised to be an
aristocrate from birth. After attending finshing scchool( little is
known about the time before this), Lara's marriage into wealth had
seemed assured.
But on her way home from a skiing trip her chartered
plane had crashed deep in tht icy, inhospiteble heart of teh Himalaya.
Lara was the only survivor so she had to rely completely on herself.Even
though she'd grown up in sheltered surroudnings she managed to get back
to civilisation 2 weeks later. Well, at least a small Nepalese village.
During these 2 weeks, Lara gained experience which would change her
whole life. Unable to stand the claustrophobic suffocating atmosphere
of upper-class British society, she realised that she was only truly
alive when she was travelling alone.
Over the following 8 years she acquired an intimate knowledge of ancient
civilisations around teh globe. Her family soon disowned thier prodigal
and she turned to writing to fund her trips. Famed for discovering
several ancient sites of profound arcaehleogical interest she made a
name for herself by publishing travel books and detailed journals of
her exploits.
