-You big oakie head, you humanies have not understood the whole idea with future.

The only one to know what will happend is the old one.

- Spare me this, please, father owl. We have been thru this a hundred times before. And i will say it one last time. When the gods created us, they created us as an mirror of themself, and therefor granting us some of the powers. That is why we have the abilitie to manipulate the forces of the matrix, and to predict the future.

- Nah, you just have lucky guesses, no real powers. Just part of the dumb things you say, is true. If i was not here, you would loose your beutiful hat. But because you are boring i will not talk about this more. But i will predict the future for you. I will see what you will speak about in the nearest hour. Now i will contact the big owl for seeing power.

The old owl started to humm silently, even though Merion was used to this dramatic moments, he still thought that it more sounded like a goblin hanging upside down with a Iuziaan sheepdog stuck at its throat. The owl suddenly stopped the humming, staring up in the roof and said with a doomlike voice.

- You will speak about a fair maiden, and her travells with the halfman, the woodsman, the bearded halfman and the wizardsman. You will talk about their adventures in the great wood, and in the world outside the great wood. Merion looked a bit irritated on the owl, a low mumber came..

- Why cant you just ask me, like normal owl. And why don´t you get tired on the stories, like normal people.

He stood up and walked over to the shelf where he took a book. Sat down again and opened the book, he cleared his throat and started the story.

"It was in the year of 574, of the common reckoning. It was a 18th day in the month of the Wealsun. I, Merion Elffriend had seen a vision. The time for the departure of my friends grand daughter, Tammanthra. She had been my apprentice in a couple of years now, but both of us had learned a many things from each other.

I could see the glow for adventure in her eyes, but i also saw the fear to explore the unknown. But i had seen in the stars that Satariel, a young half-elf ranger, and Tammanthras cousin, was travelling from his home in Welkwood to his grandmother who was the healer in the village of Salurin in Gnarley forest. His and Tammanthras grandmother had made the leaving shortly after i had taken over the tutoring of Tammanthra. So i sent Tammanthra, to meet her cousin in the hut.

On Satariels travell he joined up with three travellers a stout warrior of dwarven kind named Grim Greybeard, Grims friend Merphus the wizard and a hafling priest of Pelor, brother Gramgo from Dyvers. When they reached the healers hut. They heard some shouting on some goblinoid language, and a girls scream. When Tammanthra had reached her grandmothers hut she had been suprised by a band of three Jeblis, or goblins as they are called in general. She fleed up in a tree and conjured grease around the tree so the Jeblis couldn´t follow her up. Just as the Jeblis took up some stones to throw at her she heard the sound of a charging dwarf. The batle that came was short but fericous. At the end there was only the five heroes that was standing.
