New version 1.4 is here!!!

WinPlay-Shell is Postcardware.

What's new in WinPlay-Shell version 1.4?

Download WinPlay-Shell v1.4 (Only 170 kb!)

WinPlay-Shell is a shell for WinPlay3. It is a 32-bit application written for Windows95. (Haven't tried it with anything else...).
It is very small - only 170 kb to download - but has ALL features You'll ever want!

Use it to create, organize and play playlists with WinPlay3.

Shows playtime of each song, total playtime for playlist, and playtime for the selected songs...

Right-click a file for full info. WinPlay-Shell supports viewing/editing ID3-tags.

It features a quite unique random-play function - how many times have you hit the "shuffle"-button over and over again just to get that favourite song first? No need for that anymore! Just select your favourite song(s) and then hit "Random" - the selected song(s) will be placed first in the playlist followed by the other songs in random order.
You can move the songs around in the playlist by selecting them (use the shift- and ctrl-key to multiselect) and hitting the up- and down-arrow to the right of the playlist, or just drag the files to where you like them!

You can give a playlist (*.m3u) or a mp3-song (*.mp3) as an argument to WinPlay-Shell and have the songs played automatically on startup.

New in v1.4
You have full control of WinPlay3 from within WinPlay-Shell i.e. you can play, stop, pause, skip to next/previous track.

WinPlay-Shell now supports full Drag & Drop from the file-list, the directory-list (in the WinPlay-Shell window) and from Windows95-explorer (mp3-files, m3u-files and directories).

When a directory is dropped, you can set WinPlay-Shell to either include the files in that directory, or recurse down and get all mp3-files it finds!

You can also customize the appearance of WinPlay3 in many ways. WinPlay3 can be set to always be on top, always hidden or brought to front at operation (when hitting play, stop, skip etc.). You can also choose to show only the display of WinPlay3 (without the buttons) - quite nice!

WinPlay3 can now be made to show the correct track-number when playing a single track. If you play a single track in the playlist WinPlay3 can show the correct tracknumber in it's display and not always '1' as with most other frontends. This makes it possible to hit the "Prev"-button and play previous tracks in the playlist.

I also had to make a new Options-window (with tags) because of all the things you can customize!

Here are some
screenshots of WinPlay-Shell.
