A little history of:

EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB

Everton
The cricket team of St Domingo's Church
turned to football around 1878. Playing in
Stanley Park, in late 1879 changed name to
Everton FC, the name of the district to the west
of the park. Moved to a field at Priory Road in
1882 and then, in 1884, moved to a site in
Anfield Road. As one of the country's leading
teams, became founder members of the
Football League in 1888. Moved to Goodison
Park, a field on the north side of Stanley Park,
in 1892 following a dispute with the ground's
landlord. The royal blue colours was adopted in 1901
after wearing several other colours.
Premier League founder members
1992.
The 1997/98 season was always a struggle,
