Click the title of each show for a setlist and (usually) a review.
Shows in red come highly recommended.
READ THE RULES BELOW.
Velvet Underground/Lou Reed/John Cale
Sound Quality (completely subjective, obviously):
A+: Absolutely perfect, puts official releases to
shame.
A: Great soundboard recording, radio
shows etc.
B+: Somewhat flawed soundboard/excellent audience recording.
B: Good audience recording or bad
soundboard recording. Audience may be a bit
loud at times, sound may be a little
bit tinny, but loud and clear.
B-: Audience recording where sound is thin, muddled or the band is
drowned out by the audience at
times, but which is still quite enjoyable if you're a fan.
C: Bad audience recording - more whoops
and hollers than music, inaudible vocals and stuff
like that. Only for the
fundamentalist fan.
D: Excellent recording... of the guys
in front of the taper discussing the purchase of
some herbal medicine. Occasionally,
you can hear some music in the background. Once or
twice you can even tell who is
playing. Avoid.
TAO means Track At Once - i.e. somewhere along the
line someone burnt it with 2-second gaps between songs. I can eliminate the
gaps, but occasionally there may be a very brief click or lapse between songs.
(I always burn DAO myself.)
